Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga is just that: gentle. It's a slow paced class suitable for beginners, but also appropriate for all levels. You will practice nurturing and restoring your body through focused breathing, mindful poses, and gentle movement. This is a practice for encouraging peace in body and mind.
There are many benefits to this class. The poses (called asanas in Sanskrit) will help you become more fluid in your movement. They are designed to release tension in both your upper back and your hips. In addition, you will receive instruction on breathing to calm your nervous system and help you feel more connected and grounded. You and your family will notice a difference.
75 minutes.

Equipment
Please have 2 yoga blocks and 2 yoga blankets near you for class. We realize that not everyone has these items at home, so here is how to use household objects for these yoga props:
- Yoga Blocks: Yoga blocks measure about 3.5 x 5.5 x 8.75 inches. You can use a stack of books. Add and remove books to make them the right height for you.
- Yoga Blankets: You can use some small blankets or towels of different sizes.
